Swatch Just Announced a New Limited Watch From the James Bond Collection
If you're a fan of watches and the James Bond series, then you probably know that 007 has collaborated with Omega countless times, with the latest being the Seamaster 300M. Sleek and covetable as the Seamaster 300M might be, it's a watch that's not at everybody's reach. Luckily, Swatch has designed six James Bond watches in time for No Time to Die. Now, another more limited design has just been released.
The Swiss watchmaker's initial capsule collection was inspired by six iconic Bond movies' original movie posters and opening title sequences (Dr.No, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, Moonraker, Licence To Kill, The World Is Not Enough, and Casino Royale). The newest limited-edition watch takes inspiration from an unlikely character, Q.
According to Swatch, "the seventh timepiece in the 007 collection was designed for Swatch’s favorite character Q, the brain behind Bond’s greatest gadgets. From covert tracking devices to secret weapons, Q’s inventions have no limits, and he produces them all with a cup of his favorite Earl Gray tea in hand."
Designed with No Time to Die costume designer Suttirat Anne Larlarb, the Q watch uses a stainless steel SKIN Irony as a base. It's then combined with a tartan plaid brown leather strap, sharp red edges, and a sun-brushed dial that shows off the complex mechanism perfectly.
The Q will launch worldwide on March 5, 2020, exactly four weeks ahead of No Time to Die's global release on April 2, 2020.
