It didn't take long for the modern man to realize that he doesn't have to keep buying sneakers and running shoes to keep things laid-back while maintaining a classy aesthetic.
The rest of the fashion world is leaning into more classic silhouettes like the quintessential dapper man's shoe, the penny loafer.
Sledgers is a seasoned player in this men's fashion space and certainly didn't hold back with their refreshed and modernized takes on these elevated kicks as they get you sorted with their latest spring/summer collection.

Esquire Philippines was invited to the brand's Spring/Summer 2026 showcase, which will hit boutiques this month.
The collection is driven by the ethos of "The Everyday Man," who doesn't distinguish between occasions when it's time to command respect and to evoke dapperdom in any setting.
Sledgers operated on the notion of embracing the essence of softer constructions essential to a lineup of sleek menswear kicks that include slip-on clogs, a rounded derby shoe, a crazy horse leather tassel loafer, and other shoes with pleated detailing.

We're suckers for anything with tassels, especially when the surfaces morph into a distinct canvas of striations via the expressive horse leather material on Lucien's upper construction. Sledgers went with a more rounded approach; if you look at areas like the slightly shortened tongue and the overall shaved-off profile.
So how does a rounded profile make it any different from other iterations of the shoe? Think of it as a subtle avenue for relaxed sensibilities for a more versatile use case.
Clearly, one of the first things that tickled our menswear spidey senses was the "Parker," which is very reminiscent of the bespoke masterpieces crafted out of Italy and the craftsmen from Tokyo.
A slip-on clog seems to just make sense as a daily-driver loafer for the style-conscious man living in the vertical age where individuality tends to fizzle out.
Check out the Spring/Summer collection at any Sledgers store near you; you won't regret it.
"There’s a rhythm to how he exists: mornings that begin without rush, afternoons spent in motion, and evenings that unfold without spectacle," according to a Sledgers description of the everyday man.
