When your hotel is “setting the new gold standard for five-star luxury,” it’s only apt to have an impressive fleet of courtesy cars. For Okada Manila, the newest and largest integrated resort to open in Manila’s Entertainment City, it means having at least 10 luxury saloons available for its guests—the resort just purchased four 2016 Bentley Mulsannes priced at around P40 million each, and six Mercedes-Benz Maybachs at around P15 million each. Both models feature customized specifications for Okada, from leathers and inside amenities to the exterior color of Okada’s signature plum.

The Mulsanne is Bentley’s flagship and the best representative of the brand’s DNA, mixing old world charm with ultra modern features, from a super smooth and silent ride to an impeccable sound system. The sumptuous interiors took 170 hours of hand-crafted construction, which includes the hand-stitched steering wheel, wood that encircles the cabin (including one unbroken piece that spans the dashboard), and pure wool Wilton-weave mats over unique carpeting. Nearly anything you could want is available as a special-order option for this saloon, not that it isn't nicely equipped in its most basic form. For those with a taste for the unique or extraordinary—such as the owners of Okada Manila—however, the sky is the limit.

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class Maybach, on the other hand, is equally special and spacious, and drives as if all roads are smooth and perfect. Its majestic exterior proportions make this luxury sedan a sight to behold. The interior surfaces, seam designs, and quilted, all-leather seats are available in several bespoke color combinations. As for its entertainment system, it features the high-end 3D surround sound system and offers touch controlled infotainment, and more app-based functions for various gadgets.

Add this luxury fleet to the 44-hectare resort’s other extraordinary pleasures and entertainment options, and each guest truly gets a pampered staycation.
