Porsche, Ferrari, and Mercedes-Benz Cars Are Up for Auction at the Bureau of Customs

The government is auctioning off five luxury cars that were either abandoned or forfeited, hoping to earn at least P30 million from what would otherwise be a demolished pile of scrap metal.

The Bureau of Customs usually destroys smuggled or abandoned items with roller trucks, but together with the Department of Finance and state-run Land Bank of the Philippines, it will auction off the three Mercedes cars, a Porsche and a Ferrari.

One of the cars, a 2001 Mercedes SLK 350 has a floor price of P1.79 million, or roughly the cost of a brand new 2021 Toyota Altis based on published prices.

Here are the cars with corresponding prices.
