A prototype flying car just successfully completed an inter-city test flight between Nitra and Bratislava in Slovakia.

Klein Vision, a Slovakian-based company, developed the flying called AirCar Prototype 1 which recently flew around 80 kilometers in a 35-minute flight. According to the release, the flying car flew at 8,200 feet and reached a maximum cruising speed of 190 kilometers per hour.

The AirCar runs on regular fuel and features a 160bhp BMW engine. And yes, it has wings but they fold away in less than three minutes.

Where do we go from here, you ask? Well, Klein Vision is already working on a second prototype which will include a 300 horsepower engine. The company is even planning to develop three- and four-seater AirCar models, as well as twin-engine and amphibious in the near future.

"With AirCar you will arrive at your destination without the hassle of getting a ride to airport and passing through commercial security," says Anton Zajac, Klein Vision co-founder, investor, and pilot. "You can drive your AirCar to the golf course, the office, the mall, or your hotel and park it in a normal parking space."
