Lexus Has The Ultimate Getaway Boat for Wannabe Bond Villains

We want one.

Most people wouldn’t associate Toyota with boats, but it does have a 20-year-old Marine Department that’s been behind the well-regarded Ponam-class sports yachts, sold mostly in Japan.

Their latest concept, however, is a different sea creature altogether. Made for the company’s premium marquee, the Lexus concept sports yacht is made right out of the dreams of engineers and designers, embodied in a seamless carbon fiber body.

If the Toyota Ponam yachts share an engine with the Land Cruiser Prado, this leviathan is powered by a pair of Lexus V8s, the same powerhouse that is found under the hoods of its high-performance RC F coupe, the GS F sports sedan, and the LC500 grand tourer.

As a sports yacht, there are no living quarters on board, though there is a well-appointed lounge, a shower, and a kitchen below deck—presumably to tide the aspiring Bond villain over until he gets home to his lair.

There is only one of these things in the world today, but it is a fully functioning model that is meant to gauge the interest in high-end sports yachts in markets outside its home country. There isn’t a price tag on this beautiful monster, but if you ask us, it should cost around one-million dollars *bites pinky finger*.
