Finally, a Lamborghini You Can Afford
Italian supercar brand Lamborghini collaborated with Chinese electronics and tech company Xiaomi to produce a Lamborghini-badged go-kart called the Ninebot Go Kart Pro Lamborghini edition, which is styled after its Huracan supercar. The story first appeared in Esquire Middle East.
You can watch the unboxing of the Lambo GoKart video here. It's in Mandarin with English subtitles.
Many years back, Ninebot, a Xiaomi-backed robotics company bought self-balancing mobility solutions company Segway and started to produce recreational mobility transports including the Xiaomi Go Kart Pro. Customers need to purchase the two-wheel self-balancing Ninebot S (priced at P19,990) and the Ninebot Go Kart kit (priced at P29,995).
The standard Ninebot Go Kart system can go as fast as 25 kilometers per hour while the high performance Lamborghini version has a top speed of 40 kph and a loading capacity of 100 kilograms. It also comes in Lamborghini’s yellow color called Giallo Orion and is fitted with Ice Lake Blue LED headlights for better visibility at night. It has a digitally produced exhaust note simulating a real Lamborghini engine.
According to the local distributor for Xiaomi, the Xiaomi Ninebot GoKart Pro Lamborghini Edition costs $1,500 (about P73,000) but there is no official local SRP yet.
“We will have five units coming in soon for review and testing. We are not sure yet if we will be able to display this in our Mi Stores," according to Jan Daniell Rey of Xiaomi Philippines.
