MMDA Flipped the Bus Lanes on EDSA and This is What Happened

On June 1, the first day of general community quarantine (GCQ) in Metro Manila, motorist plying the stretch of EDSA were surprised to find that the lanes on the roads have been flipped: The exclusive lane for buses is now on the leftmost lane instead of the rightmost.
Many motorists were unaware of the changes made, which resulted in traffic violations. The changes also caused traffic on EDSA because private vehicles were reluctant to use the old yellow lanes on the right side of the road, which was previously reserved for city buses.

Back in August 2019, a series of infographics went viral for suggesting that buses utilize the innermost lane on EDSA instead of the outermost lane.
Watch how the implementation of this new bus lane went in the video below, in which an exasperated MMDA officer is seen shouting and berating motorists on the new bus lane.
