New Access Road to Shorten Travel Between SLEX and C6, Says DPWH

Making your way to the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) might soon take a little less time if you’re coming from C6.
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) says that a new access road being fast-tracked by the agency will shorten the route between the two thoroughfares and reduce traffic congestion in the area. Agency secretary Mark Villar says the new route situated in Barangay Santa Ana, Taguig City, called Bambang ni Felix Road, is now 71% complete.
“Decongesting traffic in major roadways in the City of Taguig such as Cayetano Boulevard, the two-lane 688-meter road will also serve as an additional access from Pateros going to C-6 road which will then be linked to C5 road,” Villar said in a statement.
The DPWH says construction of the new access road began in July last year with a P41-million budget. It’s scheduled to be completed by March 2020, so it shouldn’t be long until motorists begin reaping the benefits of this project.
The Bambang ni Felix Road is a relatively small project in the grand scheme of the government’s Build Build Build program, but it’s a much-appreciated development nonetheless. Are you excited for this road’s opening, too?
