MMDA Has Relaxed Certain Number Coding Days for Christmas And New Year

Planning to stay put in Metro Manila until the New Year is rung in? If yes, you’ll be happy to know the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is making it a little bit easier to move around the city during the holidays.

The MMDA has announced that it is suspending its number coding scheme for provincial buses on and over the days leading up to January 1, 2020. Below are the dates when number coding will be lifted:

  1. December 23, 2019
  2. December 24, 2019
  3. December 25, 2019 (Christmas Day)
  4. December 26, 2019
  5. December 27, 2019
  6. December 30, 2019 (Rizal Day)
  7. December 31, 2019
  8. January 1, 2020 (New Year’s Day)
  9. January 2, 2020

The agency has also lifted number coding for other public utility vehicles and private cars on the following dates:

  1. December 23, 2019
  2. December 24, 2019
  3. December 25, 2019 (Christmas Day)
  4. December 30, 2019 (Rizal Day)
  5. December 31, 2019
  6. January 1, 2020 (New Year’s Day)
