Stand-up comedians and podcasters The KoolPals officially marked their seventh anniversary with a massive surprise for their fans: the launch of their very first book, The KoolPals for Dummies, published by Summit Books.
During the day-long anniversary celebration, eager fans packed the venue and lined up at the merchandise booth to grab copies of the unexpected release. Amidst a hectic lineup of performances, the group’s members—G.B. Labrador, James Caraan, Muman Reyes, Nonong Ballinan, and Ryan Rems—made their way through the VIP section to personally sign books for attendees.
"Sana ‘tong librong ‘to maging guide kung paano niyo i-e-enjoy ‘yung The KoolPals," Caraan shared, explaining the inspiration behind the project. "Ang dami kasing nagtatanong lagi, ‘Anong episode magandang magsimula? Anong episode lumabas si ganito? Anong episode na-discuss ‘yung ganitong topic?’ At least ito ‘yung magiging starter pack niyo."
The anniversary show also treated the audience to special guest appearances by the cast of the upcoming Home Along Da Riles Da Reunion, alongside musical performances from OPM icons Ebe Dancel and Mayonnaise.

Inside The KoolPals for Dummies
The KoolPals have come a long way from their humble beginnings—a Facebook Live stream with an unpredictable schedule, cheap but dependable microphones from Raon, and Nonong Ballinan cooking sizzling hotdogs in the background.
Published by Summit Books, the P700 paperback captures these hilarious origin stories and more across six comprehensive chapters, beautifully complemented by portraits from Jilson Tiu.
Fans can expect a curated index of the podcasters' favorite and most essential episodes as well as a breakdown of the group’s most iconic inside jokes, catchphrases, and lore. There's also an intimate look at the group's creative process and how they build their episodes. Ryan Rems, the group's famously unpredictable wildcard, also contributed an exclusive chapter.

Despite dominating the Spotify charts as one of the Philippines’ most popular podcasts, the book highlights how the group has stayed grounded, fiercely loyal to their fanbase, and committed to the raw energy that started it all.
"Ever since naman, ‘yung salitang kagaguhan, tawanan, or trip-trip, lagi namang umiibabaw ‘yan kapag may nagtatanong kung ano ‘yung The KoolPals," admits Caraan. "From Day 1 to present, gaguhan pa rin."
The KoolPals for Dummies (Summit Books, 2026) is available for P700 on Lazada and Shopee. Soon at bookstores nationwide.
