Why We're Stoked for Porter Robinson and Galantis at &Friends Manila 2026

Indietronic pop star Porter Robinson and EDM icons Galantis are making their long-awaited Manila comebacks as they take on the two-day &Friends outdoor music festival at Okada Manila. We are major fans of both, specifically Robinson, who had a recent solo show last December 2024 at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City as part of his Smile! world tour. The Swedish electronic duo Galantis earlier played major electronic festivals such as Ultra Manila back in 2016, playing their smash hits "Runaway (U & I)," "Peanut Butter Jelly," and "No Money."

The EDM artist/moonlighting pop star Robinson just released his biggest stylistic shift yet with his 2024 record SMILE, a record that saw him lean into the cheekiness of an exaggerated projection of his own struggles into endearing and poignant pop songs. Before that, he gave us his most spiritually healing electronic record Nurture (2021), which is basically free therapy more than an album and we still bop to it to this day. This is Robinson's rawest and most personal record with songs like "Musician," "Mother," "Something Comforting," and "Trying to Feel Alive" articulating his own struggles with depression and burnout, with heartwarming tributes to his mother and his wife. Who can forget his breakout solo album Worlds (2014) with classic EDM bangers "Sad Machine," "Divinity," and "Goodbye to a World." He is most likely doing a DJ set that will also include his ultra popular singles "Shelter" with one of his musical soulmates Madeon, and the zeitgeist EDM banger "Language."

Other than the mega popular Porter Robinson and Galantis, &Friends 2026 has a pretty stacked undercard worth paying attention to. Fellow headliners include electronic artists Subtronics and Yellow Claw, with support from Arcando, ARMNHMR, Chyl, Ian Asher, Kiara, Level Up, Siangyoo, and Wukong. Additional support comes from Amanda Sze, DJ Cupcakes, Orange Juice Asia, and Mamamigrain Girl, enough regional talent to make the two-day Okada Manila run feel like more than just a Porter Robinson show.

Last year's iteration of the festival saw fellow EDM legends Zedd and Illenium headline the show, which is somewhat of a full circle moment considering the former worked with Robinson for probably one of the greatest electronic pop songs of the 2010s "Clarity."

This year's &Friends will consist of five sections: The Main Stage (where Robinson and other international DJs will play), Club Stage (underground and viral TikTok DJs), Friendship Stage (360 DJ sets at the garden), The Bazaar (curated drinks and food), and the Inner Circle Summit (the annual industry summit involving the worlds of tech and entertainment).

The early bird two-day general admission ticket starts at P8,250, early bird VIP two-day passes at P13,750, while the standard and VIP two-day passes will be available at P9,500 and P15,000 respectively. Early bird general admission tickets will require a P500 deposit while early bird VIP passes will run you a P1,500 deposit to secure your slots.
