GAC Philippines is making a strong statement in the country's increasingly competitive MPV market with the launch of three new models that target distinct customer segments while sharing a common focus on comfort, space, and quality engineering. Introduced last July 30, the all-new GAC GN6, GAC E8 HEV, and GAC GN8 PHEV Executive form what the company calls its new "MPV Family," a lineup designed to serve everyone from practical family buyers to executive transport customers.
GAC is leaning on its established MPV expertise, competitive pricing, and a strengthening dealer network to accelerate growth in the Philippines. The company says the lineup is built around real-world user needs and draws on more than a decade of dedicated MPV engineering, with over 880,000 units delivered globally.

One of the strongest selling points of the new lineup is its pricing. The all-new GN6 carries a suggested retail price of P1.298 million, but GAC is offering an introductory launch price of P1.198 million until August 31, 2026. At that level, the GN6 enters one of the most competitive areas of the seven-seat MPV segment while offering features that are increasingly expected in higher-priced vehicles.
The E8 HEV is available in two variants at P1.778 million for the GL and P1.918 million for the GX during the introductory period, both positioned aggressively against established hybrid MPV rivals. Meanwhile, the flagship GN8 PHEV Executive launches with an introductory price of P3.338 million, undercutting several luxury-oriented electrified MPVs while offering a significantly more premium equipment list than many mainstream alternatives.
Build quality as a true shining point

Beyond price, GAC is clearly emphasizing build quality and durability as key differentiators. The company highlighted that its vehicles benefit from 20 years of technical collaboration with Toyota and Honda, experience that has helped shape its manufacturing standards, quality control systems, and hybrid expertise. GAC also pointed to its Lighthouse Factory production facilities and strict quality assurance processes as part of its global manufacturing strength.
The focus on quality is evident in the details of the new models. The GN6 includes a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.6-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, six airbags, and a comprehensive suite of advanced driver assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking.
The E8 HEV raises the bar further with Zero Gravity second-row seats featuring ventilation, massage functions, and power leg rests, along with acoustically laminated glass and intelligent driving assistance technologies.
The GN8 PHEV Executive goes even further, offering a cabin that functions as a mobile lounge or boardroom, complete with soundproof glass, a 16-speaker audio system, PM2.5 air filtration, a fragrance system, a starlight panoramic roof, and sophisticated climate-control technology designed to deliver draft-free airflow throughout the cabin.
GAC also has a home-field advantage now: it's no longer a newcomer in the Philippine market. Over the past several years, the brand has steadily expanded its operations, dealer footprint, and aftersales capabilities, giving it a stronger foundation than many newer entrants.
The company now operates a nationwide network of 30 dealerships, supported by a dedicated local parts warehouse intended to improve parts availability and reduce service turnaround times. GAC is also backing its vehicles with warranties of up to five years or 150,000 kilometers for internal combustion models, while electrified vehicles receive extended coverage for their battery and core electric systems, along with two years of free roadside assistance. That kind of infrastructure matters in a market where ownership confidence and parts support count almost as much as the price tag.

Each of the three new models targets a clearly defined customer profile.
The GN6 is aimed at growing families, ride-sharing operators, and business users who need flexible seating and cargo space without sacrificing urban drivability. Its 1.5-liter turbocharged engine produces 176.7 PS and 270 Nm of torque, while its clever interior packaging allows luggage capacity to expand from 324 liters to 1,100 liters with the third row folded.
The E8 HEV targets buyers seeking premium comfort with lower operating costs. Its hybrid system combines a 2.0-liter engine with an electric motor for a combined range of more than 1,000 kilometers, while maintaining a WLTC fuel consumption rating of 5.58 L/100 km.
At the top end, the GN8 PHEV Executive is designed for executives, VIP transport services, luxury hotels, and affluent families. Its plug-in hybrid system delivers 373 horsepower and 630 Nm of torque, with an electric-only range of up to 120 kilometers and a total combined range of 1,038 kilometers.
The MPV segment remains one of the country's strongest, driven by large families, corporate shuttle demand, tourism transport, and a growing appetite for premium people movers. GAC's three-model spread lets it play across multiple price bands at once, all under one message: comfort, flexibility, and ownership confidence.
Filipino buyers are more open to new automotive brands than they were a few years ago, but they're still picky about value, durability, and service support. Whether GAC's MPV push actually moves market share now comes down to execution.
