Nocturnata Brings Together a New Generation of Filipino Entrepreneurs
Witchcraft Distillery and ANTLIA bet that the next big collaborations begin over dinner, drinks, and conversation.

With social media, there comes a curious irony in the way young professionals connect today. We have never been more reachable, yet organic encounters have become increasingly difficult to manufacture. Business cards have become LinkedIn requests. Introductions arrive as QR codes. Somewhere between efficiency and optimization, the pleasure of simply gathering has become surprisingly rare. For a generation of entrepreneurs building businesses that value authenticity as much as growth, that absence has become increasingly noticeable.
Perhaps that is why a different kind of event has quietly emerged—not quite a launch, not quite a networking night, and certainly not another conference. Instead, it resembles something older: a dinner where strangers become collaborators over a shared meal, free-flowing craft cocktails, good music, and conversations that wander far beyond business.
Nocturnata, hosted by globally laureated Cordilleran brand Witchcraft Distillery and Singapore-born eyewear brand ANTLIA, belongs to this growing movement.
Nocturnata is an evening of Filipino spirits, cocktails, food, design, music, and craftsmanship held at Forbes Park Pavilion. But reducing Nocturnata to its program would miss the point entirely. It is less interested in showcasing products than creating the conditions for encounters between entrepreneurs and artists, designers and technologists, chefs and architects, founders and future collaborators.
In that sense, the hosts make unlikely but remarkably complementary partners.
Witchcraft Distillery has spent years building its identity around an idea larger than whiskey. Long before its Ghost Gin earned a Silver Medal and its Spectre 431 and Avallach single malts received Bronze at this year's San Francisco World Spirits Competition, the distillery was telling a story about the Cordilleras. Its spirits are shaped by mountain spring water, cool highland evenings, and a philosophy that sees modern distilling not as an imported tradition but as an extension of the region's long history of fermentation, craftsmanship, and community. The bottle is important, certainly, but only because of the landscape and the people that make it possible.
ANTLIA approaches eyewear in much the same way. Founded by two students from Singapore and a Filipino friend, the brand has steadily evolved from an independent eyewear label into something closer to a community platform. Pop-ups, creative collaborations, wellness gatherings, editorial projects, and cultural events have become just as integral to the brand as the frames themselves. ANTLIA's belief that "eccentricity is simply authenticity without hesitation" is reflected not only in what people wear but in the spaces they create for people to meet.
Neither brand seems particularly interested in staying within the boundaries of its industry. Both view their products as invitations to something larger: conversation.
That philosophy extends naturally to the evening's collaborators.

Hospitality begins with food. Sarsa Field Kitchen by Chef JP Anglo, whose Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand recognition has helped introduce regional Filipino cooking to a wider audience, anchors the dinner. Across the pavilion, Toma Toma, the restaurant and cocktail bar founded by internationally acclaimed bartender Arcadius Rybak, provides libations that feature Witchcrafts’ best, in cocktails tailored for the event by Toma Toma’s Judie Ann Santos. Their shared commitment to local producers—from farmers and fishermen to beekeepers and salt makers—echoes Witchcraft's own belief that craftsmanship begins long before a finished product reaches the table.
Around them, design quietly shapes the experience. Lighting by Solano Lamps by Michelle Lao, whose background is fashion, explores how illumination transforms the atmosphere as much as space. Fyne Audio, Rega, and Unison Research via Orpheus Audio Ventures contribute another layer, reminding guests that listening is itself an act of hospitality. Music, after all, is rarely the background at memorable gatherings; it determines their rhythm. And let's admit it, a turntable and hi-fi speaker set-up is nakakapogi.
MOLD also features lamps but brings a different perspective altogether. The makerspace and design studio has built its philosophy around the simple but radical proposition that making is a way of thinking. By connecting design, education, fabrication, and sustainability, it argues that creativity flourishes when ideas move from imagination to the hand. They hold classes and workshops so that even the newest of creators can bring their vision to life.
Casa Nova offers chic furniture for home or office but has recently put their designer pieces for rent so that pop-up events can retain the elegance of a brand without a monobloc in sight.
Even HKB Digital, whose business lies in software rather than physical objects, represents another form of craft—building systems that free organizations from repetitive work so they can focus on creating value elsewhere.

I-land offers green, energy-efficient, and pet-friendly homes at the periphery of Metro Manila, accessible to, but away from, the chaos of the city center. NutriJoy makes shelf-stable healthy meals with local government units and community-based organizations in mind for relief operations and school feeding programs, but they’re great for everyone, really.
At first glance, a distillery, an eyewear company, a software developer, a makerspace, an audio specialist, a furniture company, and a property developer appear to have little in common.
The Philippines has never lacked talented entrepreneurs. What it has often lacked are occasions where founders from entirely different disciplines occupy the same room to discover unexpected common ground. No elevator pitches here; genuine conversations begin over a glass of clarified ube with award-winning whiskey; curiosity can just as easily end in a creative collaboration, a new business venture, or simply the realization that the challenges of building a distillery, a design studio, or a technology company are not as different as they first appear.
Nocturnata is a lifestyle event that experiments with hospitality—one that treats food, spirits, design, and music as shared communal experiences through which people might find one another.
In an era increasingly defined by algorithms, curated feeds, and transactional networking, perhaps the most valuable luxury is the opportunity to stand around a buffet with people who care deeply about making things well, to leave with new ideas instead of new contacts, and to remember that culture is rarely built in isolation. More often, it begins exactly where the best evenings always have: with generous hosts, thoughtful conversation, and a room full of strangers who won't remain strangers for very long.
Nocturnata was held at Forbes Park Pavilion on July 4, 2026. It is presented by Witchcraft Distillery and ANTLIA.
