Turns Out, the Philippines is Really Into Hentai and 'Reality' Porn
An interesting statistic from Pornhub's 2025 Year in Review is that 64 percent of porn viewers in the Philippines are women.

There's no shortage of Filipino gooners, as the kids would say. The Philippines kept its third place spot among countries with the most traffic on Pornhub, based on the website's Year in Review 2025.
The only predominantly Catholic nation in Southeast Asian trailed the United States and Mexico.
This year, Filipinos boosted their average time on the website nearly two full minutes longer to 10 minutes and 53 seconds per visit from nine minutes and a second per visit from last year.
A Reality Check on Filipinos
One statistic that really jumped out at us this year is that users in the Philippines are 308 percent more likely to watch the "Reality" porn category, which was the highest preference of any of the other porn categories tracked.
The porn user base in Manila being mostly women at 64 percent, could help explain that number. Studies have shown that women often prefer content that reflects a desire for relatablility and authenticity, which is where the "Reality" genre comes into play.
Pornhub's study also reveals the Filipino porn viewer's proclivity towards "hentai" content as porn watchers from the Pearl of the Orient are 297 percent more likely to indulge in these adult Japanese animated content.
The Philippines also saw the highest phone usage on the platform at 96 percent, which is a percentage point down from a year earlier.
To put it into context, Filipinos are also consistently ranked as the top Facebook and YouTube users globally by traffic. So Filipinos always being on their phones for content that isn't safe for work should be expected.
Pinay Pride and Filipina porn viewers
As we mentioned earlier, most porn watchers in the Phlippines this year are women, with 64 percent of female visitors logged, up five percent from a year earlier. This is also the highest proportion among the top 20 countries of women watching porn on the site.
By age group, 49 percent of Filipino visitors were 18 to 24 years old, while 25 to 34 year old Filipinos made up 29 percent of viewership.
"Over the last decade, our statisticians have been tracing the proportion of female visitors to Pornhub. They have noticed an upward trend over the years, putting into question the dated umbrella statement 'it’s only men who watch porn," according to the website.
Speaking of women, the word "Pinay" also remained the third most-searched term globally on Pornhub this year, and the most-searched term locally. This trend reflects how engaged the Filipino porn userbase is in influencing global search trends.
Other top search terms include the colloquial term "Pinoy," with"Japanese" coming in as a distrant third.
