The Best-Dressed Men of the 2026 Oscars

It's been a supremely (ahem) entertaining run-up to the 2026 Academy Awards. The competition for the Really Big Ones feels tighter than it has in a long while. Controversy has not been entirely avoided. And observers, by and large, seem pretty damn jazzed. This is, by most accounts, one of those rare cultural moments in which we are not only paying attention but excited to be part of it—and maybe even having fun.

So it's our pleasure to report that the guys on the red carpet seem to be synched up with their viewership, vibes-wise. Granted, the Oscars have never been known for intense experimentation or giant style swerves, but the guys showing up tonight are delivering looks aplenty that combine the classic black tie appropriate for the occasion with the dash of modernity necessary to keep things from slipping into stagnancy.

The most interesting stuff, in our book, is happening with silhouettes. We're talking about looser trousers with drape—and maybe even a flared hem. Wider shoulders and lapels. Jackets with movement that extend long enough to cover their wearers' asses (something we've been hoping to see for a very, very long time).

But it's not just about shape. Guys are playing with color, pattern, texture, and more. And even if they aren't, well, good for them. A standard tux, done well, is always going to look right at the Oscars.

So, without further ado, here are the best-dressed men of the night.
