Oscar-winning director Christopher Nolan's horological love story with Hamilton soldiers on in the form of a limited edition Khaki Field Auto watch for the highly anticipated adaptation of the Greek epic, The Odyssey.
This piece could be the most hyped Hamilton piece since the Khaki Murph that is tied to Interstellar (2014), which already holds a cult following. A popularity and staying power largely driven by both field watch fanatics and those who are captivated by its rugged charm, this piece of cinematic history evokes.
The Bronze Age-inspired Khaki Field Auto "The Odyssey," which has a bronze case, fashioned with Odysseus' Scabbard symbol, and hands designed after the titular hero's sword.

The caseback engraved with Odysseus' helmet

The Bronze Age backdrop of Homer's epic, which came after the Trojan War, isn't what you would usually think of as a snapshot in history you would make a watch from since mechanical timekeeping hadn't even been conceptualized yet.
So for obvious reasons this will be the first Hamilton piece that won't make it to the big screen to maintain a semblance of era-appropriate costume design. Previous iterations from Interstellar, Tenet (2020), and Oppenheimer (2023) all held a place in the Nolan cinematic universe with at least a sliver of screen time on the wrists of their respective protagonists.
The 42mm Khaki Field Auto is fashioned with all the hallmarks and design elements from the titular character Odysseus (played by Matt Damon) and his tools of the trade.
It is still in the familiar Khaki shape in bronze, with a textured black dial that evokes how Odyssey's helmet is supposed to feel. Hour hands are shaped by his swords, no date window, and the 12 o'clock position is shaped like a rivet off a scabbard.
It also has a titanium caseback engraved with an image of the hero's helmet next to Nolan's signature.
Dubbed as a "Timepiece Born From Myth," the film tie-up watch is limited to 2,112 (a nod to how often 12 shows up) and will come with a replica of Athena's pin seen in the film.
Based on its website, Hamilton has confirmed that the price would be around 1,195 Swiss Francs (P91,400), which is similar to how much the Murph goes for.
