Lexus Philippines has taken another significant step in strengthening its presence in the country's luxury automotive market with the groundbreaking of the upcoming Lexus Quezon City Gallery last December.

Located along Sgt. Esguerra Street, the new facility signals the brand's confidence in the Philippine market and its long-term commitment to delivering premium ownership experiences anchored on craftsmanship, innovation, and hospitality, guided by the Japanese philosophy of Omotenashi.

Designed as a modern expression of Lexus' bold and forward-looking design language, the Quezon City Gallery will feature sharp, tapered surfaces and clean linear geometries, complemented by a curated mix of materials that blend local artistry with Japanese craftsmanship. Spanning approximately 12,700 square meters across four floors with a mezzanine, the facility will house a full suite of aftersales services, including Lexus One, periodic maintenance, general services, and body and paint operations. Once operational, it is expected to elevate ownership care standards while improving accessibility for customers in northern Metro Manila. The gallery is tentatively set to open in 2027.

According to Lexus Philippines Chairman Alfred Ty, the expansion reflects both the brand's steady growth and the strength of the local luxury car market. From selling just 172 units when it started in 2009, Lexus Philippines now delivers more than 2,000 vehicles annually, with over 12,000 Lexus vehicles currently on Philippine roads.

Ty noted that Quezon City is a strategic location, pointing out that more than 2,000 Lexus customers already reside in the area. Establishing a dedicated gallery in the city allows the brand to serve its customers with greater convenience while extending the Lexus experience to a wider and growing community.

This is not Lexus Philippines' first foray into Quezon City, albeit in a very different form. In 2014, Lexus opened a boutique Lexus Gallery inside Robinsons Magnolia in New Manila, serving as a satellite showroom designed to bring the brand closer to potential customers in the area. Featuring a single-car display, lifestyle merchandise, and a lounge-style environment, the boutique reflected an early attempt to humanize the luxury car experience through accessibility and comfort. It operated for approximately two years as a permanent mall presence.

The upcoming Quezon City Gallery also marks Lexus Philippines' first major dealer network expansion since the opening of the Lexus Manila Gallery in Bonifacio Global City in November, underscoring a carefully paced but deliberate growth strategy. Rather than pursuing rapid expansion, Lexus continues to prioritize strengthening brand experience and customer engagement—an approach that has translated into strong market performance.

Industry data from reputable automotive and corporate sources show that Lexus has consistently led the Philippine luxury car segment in recent years. In 2023, the brand accounted for roughly 42 percent of total luxury vehicle sales in the country, outperforming established European rivals. This leadership position further strengthened in 2024, with corporate disclosures indicating that Lexus captured more than half of the local luxury market. Early 2025 figures suggest that it continued its positive trajectory, sustaining Lexus' position as the country's leading luxury automotive brand.

This market leadership provides important context for the Quezon City expansion. As demand for premium vehicles continues to grow alongside rising purchasing power and a broader shift toward electrified mobility, Lexus is positioning itself to support sustainable, long-term growth. Its strong emphasis on hybrid technology, reliability, and aftersales excellence resonates with buyers seeking a balance between luxury, performance, and environmental responsibility.

Lexus' emphasis on experience goes beyond architecture and aftersales capability. The brand has increasingly embraced lifestyle touchpoints as a way of expressing Omotenashi, the deeply rooted Japanese philosophy of thoughtful, anticipatory hospitality. A recent example can be found at Lexus Mitsukoshi in Bonifacio Global City, where the brand introduced a new culinary experience through a refreshed menu at Key Coffee, located just beside the Mitsukoshi showroom.

More than a simple cafe update, the initiative reflects Lexus' belief that hospitality is best communicated through moments that encourage guests to slow down, feel welcome, and engage their senses.

The new menu offerings draw inspiration from familiar comfort food, reimagined with restraint and care. Dishes such as Karaage Udon, served in a light yet deeply savory dashi consommé, and Omurice with chicken fried rice wrapped in soft scrambled eggs and finished with a rich tomato demi-glace, reflect the same attention to balance and detail found in crafting a Lexus vehicle. More adventurous selections like the Pomodoro Toast, a layering of shokupan, tsukune, pomodoro, bell peppers, and melted cheese, adds texture and contrast, while the Berry Parfait offers a quietly elegant finale with vanilla diplomat cream, mixed berry compote, and a subtle balsamic lift.

The beverage lineup further mirrors Lexus' Takumi craftsmanship, with thoughtfully constructed flavors that surprise without overwhelming. From the Velvet Peach & Toffee to the Chili Mint Nama Latte and the refreshing Melon Citrus Cream Soda, each drink showcases creativity guided by precision. Available exclusively at Key Coffee within Lexus Mitsukoshi, the culinary experience invites visitors to engage with the brand beyond the showroom floor, adding an emotional and sensory dimension to what Lexus defines as personalized luxury.

By expanding both its physical footprint and its interpretation of hospitality, Lexus Philippines is strengthening customer retention and long-term brand loyalty, critical factors in the highly competitive luxury segment. The new Quezon City Gallery, alongside initiatives like the Key Coffee culinary experience, is expected to play a key role in this ecosystem, ensuring that ownership remains seamless, engaging, and rewarding throughout the vehicle life cycle.

Ultimately, Lexus' expansion into Quezon City reflects confidence not only in the local market but in a philosophy that places people at the center of the luxury experience. Through architecture, service, and even food, Lexus continues to demonstrate that Omotenashi is not merely a concept, but a lived experience. It is one that invites customers to stay a little longer, feel genuinely welcomed, and return with trust.
