An extended cut of Eraserheads: Combo On The Run, the official documentary of the legendary Filipino rock band Eraserheads, will debut on Netflix on May 30.
The reworked cut that features new footage and additional material re: the band's lore is expected to expand the band's reach to nearly 200 countries.
It had a notable international run ahead of the forthcoming Netflix release, with a screening at San Diego Comic-Con last year alongside a launch of a comic book of the same name. This is the first Filipino-produced film and the first music documentary to be featured at the yearly pop culture convention.

Combo on the Run also saw screenings at the Hawaii International Film Festival, Doc Berlin, and the Liverpool Film Festival.
Above all, the film won Best International Feature Documentary at the 12th Ierapetra International Documentary and Film Festival in Crete, Greece.
The documentary's director and producer, Maria Diane Ventura, explained that the re-edit aimed to boost the film's emotional themes for a global audience.
"The re-edit was not about changing the story but about refining how it's told," she said.
It was first released locally on March 21 last year, with the work covering themes of friendship, conflict, identity, and reconciliation among the members of the zeitgeist-defining Philippine rock band.
Eraserheads had been slated to headline the Electric Fun Music Festival in October last year before it got postponed indefinitely. The iconic rock outfit was expected to play crowd favorites, deep cuts, and even new music teased in the documentary.
