Here's Where You Can Take the New Harry Styles College Course

Yes, fans can now view Styles' cultural impact and global influence through an academic lens very soon. Take your fandom to the next level by entering this college program dedicated to the beloved pop star. Texas State University, under its Honors College, will be offering a full-time Harry Styles course starting 2023.
The course description for "Harry Styles and the Cult of Celebrity: Identity, the Internet, and European Pop Culture" reads:
"This course focuses on British musician Harry Styles and popular European culture to understand the cultural and political development of the modern celebrity as related to questions of gender and sexuality, race, class, nation and globalism, media, fashion, fan culture, internet culture, and consumerism."

This will be the first-ever Harry Styles course in the world. According to Assistant Professor of Digital History Dr. Louie Dean Valencia, students can expect to view Styles and his work “in the way we study the work of Shakespeare, Toni Morrision, Virginia Wolf or any great artist.”
Of course, it won't be focusing on the star's personal life. That's for Twitter spies and stans, after all. The program will be focusing more on the Styles philosophy, music, art, and literature. His gender-neutral beauty line will be discussed extensively, as well.
Best of all, the course could mean honors for you. It is part of graduation requirements for those who major in international or European studies, world or European history, popular culture studies, and the like. It's time to get those averages up.
In the past, we've also seen other singers get their own case studies.
New York University has Rolling Stone journalist Brittany Spano teaching a class about Taylor Swift. Institutions like the University of Copenhagen in Denmark, Rutgers University in New Jersey, and the University of Texas at San Antonio each offer courses on Beyoncé. There are even Lady Gaga sociology classes being taught at the University of South Carolina, too.
