This may or may not be a drill. Just hours ago, Resorts World Manila posted a cryptic casting call on Facebook, for their "next big musical." It included a reference to one of The Eraserheads' greatest songs of all time: "Ang Huling El Bimbo"

.

.

They've also asked interested applicants to bring a minus one of an "OPM pop/rock song," which is another strong indication of what this project could be. On the flip side, the phrase "Kamukha mo man sya o hindi" seems to step back a bit on the reference, so we're not entirely sure.

Could this be an Eraserheads jukebox musical, in the style of Aegis' Rak of Aegis, The Beatles' Across The Universe, and Queen's We Will Rock You? We certainly hope so.

We've reached out to Resorts World Manila and Ultimate Shows, Inc. (whose logo is on the casting call) for more information on this mysterious but incredibly exciting call for auditions, but have yet to receive a response. We'll update this article as details arise, but feel free to check out the Resorts World Manila Facebook page for updates.
