Lea Salonga’s Wax Figure Coming to Madame Tussauds Singapore
World-renowned Filipina actress and singer Lea Salonga's wax figure will soon grace the star-studded halls of Madame Tussauds Singapore. Scheduled for unveiling in the third quarter of 2024, her lifelike wax figure will capture the theater legend in a powerful, iconic pose.
Salonga, with her remarkable talent and a well-decorated career spanning over 45 years, undoubtedly deserves such an honor. She is best known for her iconic performances as Kim in Miss Saigon, the singing voice of Disney princesses Jasmine and Mulan, and as the first Asian to play Éponine in the Broadway musical Les Misérables. She has performed in sold-out concerts at the most prestigious venues.

Other notable highlights of her career include performing for six Philippine presidents, four American presidents, as well as for Princess Diana and Queen Elizabeth II.
In addition to these achievements, Salonga was also one of the esteemed judges of The Voice Philippines and The Voice Kids Philippines, further endearing her to Filipino audiences.
The multi-talented icon has also been involved in various philanthropic efforts, including those with World Vision Organization and the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. She organized fund-raising concerts for these causes and dedicated her single, Dream Again, to charities supporting COVID-19 relief efforts worldwide.

It’s fantastic!” shares Lea in her sitting session with the Madame Tussauds Singapore team of expert sculptors and artists.
Other Filipino celebrities with wax figures at Madame Tussauds include Miss Universe winners Pia Wurtzbach and Catriona Gray, boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, and actress and host Anne Curtis.
Madame Tussauds Singapore is home to the wax figures of Hollywood A-listers like Michelle Yeoh, Leonardo DiCaprio, Johnny Depp, and Priyanka Chopra; five-time Paralympic gold champion Yip Pin Xiu; Grammy winners Ed SHeeran and Dua Lipa; Bollywood star Ranveer Singh; and K-Drama superstar Lee Min Ho.
