There's a Very Interesting Reason Behind Pedro Pascal's Signature Red Carpet Pose
Pedro Pascal is hotter than fish grease right now. Between The Mandalorian, The Last of Us and now the short film Strange Way of Life and a lot of others set to come, his appearances on television and the movies aren't stopping anytime soon. We love Pascal because he seems like one of the more genuine, down-to-eath stars out there. And he's definitely not afraid to get vulnerable when need be, too.
Interestingly, he's learned to even share that vulnerability with his co-stars. One of which is Bella Ramsey. The two were recently spotted on a “For Your Consideration” red carpet event in Los Angeles.
Ramsey had noticed that Pacal was doing a very specific Pascal pose in front of the photographers, one that he's been sporting for nearly two decades. As it turns out, the Chilean-born star actually has a pretty good reason for it.

“You know why?” he said. “It’s because my anxiety is right here.” The two would hug after upon learning of the peculiar coping mechanism.
Apparently, what Pascal does can be quite the tool for handling anxiety. According to Keith Humphreys, a professor of psychiatry at Stanford University, this can help focus on our breathing. "Smile even if you don’t feel like smiling,” Humphreys said in an interview with Huffington Post. “Tense your muscles then let them go, then tense them again and repeat. Relax your body, and a lot of people will find your emotions will follow.”
Anxiety disorder remains one of the most common mental health conditions in the United States, with about 40 million citizens experiencing similar troubles throughout their lifetime.
