The Winner of the 2018 Filipino International Photography Awards Captures the Drug War

Earlier today, the Filipino International Photography Awards announced the winner of its top prize for 2018. The Filipino IPA Photographer of the Year is Basilio Sepe, whose entry to the competition—a series entitled The Enemy in the Dark, captures the harrowing realities of the Philippines' drug war.
Other winners include Suzanne Margaret Tocjayao, Swan Gavileño, Dan Katigbak, Xavier Manoy, and Paolo Garcia, all from the Far Eastern University, whose collaborative series about the use of plastics in food earned the team the "Discovery of the Year" award.
