America's Got Talent Finalist Conjures a Magical Dining Event in Manila
"It's about merging dining with illusion," said Thommy Ten, one-half of America's Got Talent finalist The Clairvoyants, during a presser at Grand Hyatt Manila last September 26. He was referring to the five-star luxury hotel's upcoming dining experience called The Magic Table, which starts early next year at the iconic rooftop venue, The Peak. We were as intrigued as you are.
First launched in Hong Kong early in September, The Magic Table is an immersive concept that features a five-course dinner on a mystical table filled with colorful projections and fun props. Guests are not just spectators; they are an integral part of the two-hour act, ensuring a truly memorable experience.

"You have five courses; they are all magical. And then you have these magical moments where we not only show you magic, but you're learning about the history of magic, and at the end, we teach you magic also. If you do everything right, you will get a certificate that you are one of our magicians," explained Thommy, promising a unique takeaway for every participant.

A Magical Wonderland
Unlike a traditional stage show where the audience is merely a spectator, The Magic Table takes diners in an immersive and interactive dining room that's transformed into a "magical wonderland" from the moment guests step inside.
"I always wanted to create something where you can become a magician by yourself," Thommy explained. "And that's possible with The Magic Table because every person sitting there gets a 3D experience. The videos, the visuals, where we do the magic with them on the table." He further highlighted its unique nature, stating, "Creating a show where I can sit there and experience it by myself, that never happened before for a magician. That's why this concept is brand new and so unique."
Combining Cuisine and Illusion
The Austrian duo (with Amélie van Tass being Thommy's other half) has also worked closely with the Grand Hyatt Manila’s culinary team to ensure the food itself is part of the enchantment.
"Every magic act you see is basically finished with the food," Thommy noted. "For example, if the first act is about the magic key, we want to incorporate a key or a keyhole in the first dish. Or if another magic trick is about Houdini, we want to incorporate a little bit about Houdini and stuff like this. It's not only for your brain and head, it's for your tummy, for everything."
Ultimately, the goal is to create an unforgettable, personalized journey into the world of illusion, leaving every guest with a unique souvenir and a renewed sense of wonder.
Spreading Magic, One City at a Time
With The Magic Table having already captivated audiences in Germany and Hong Kong, Thommy shared the overwhelming positive reception: "Everybody goes home and at the end of the night, everybody is a magician by themself. They can show tricks to your family, to their friends, you know. It's a big hit. Like our social media exploded over the last days." He added that his favorite part is seeing guests react "like kids again."
The Magic Table launches in January 2026 at Grand Hyatt Manila, 8th Avenue corner 35th Street, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. Reservations will open in the coming weeks.
