These Are the Top Universities in the Philippines for 2023

EduRank recently unveiled its list of the top 100 universities in the Philippines.
The organization based the list on based on research outputs, non-academic prominence, and alumni influence. EduRank offers independent metric-based rankings based on 14,131 universities across 183 countries. It has an index of 44,909,300 scientific publications and 1,237,541,960 citations to come up with the results.
For the Philippines, the organization analyzed "373K citations received by 30.4K academic publications made by 229 universities." The popularity of 889 recognized alumni and its main database were factored in, as well.

Three constituent universities under UP System made the top 10. Meanwhile, Cebu-based universities like the University of San Carlos, University of San Jose -Recoletos, and Cebu Normal University, among others, entered the top 100. Notably, Western Visayas institutions like West Visayas State University, Central Philippine University, John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University, and the University of Iloilo – PHINMA also made the top 100. The University of the Philippines Visayas was named the top institution in the region, too.
