Drag Den Has Been Renewed For Season 2

The Drag Lord will return.

Prime Video has announced the renewal of the Amazon Original series Drag Den with Manila Luzon, a Filipino reality competition that pits drag queen against drag queen. If Season 1 was wild, hold onto your wigs for Season 2. Prime promises that the second season will be even bigger than the first with a new den and a new set of rules awaiting contestants.

Drag Den With Manila Luzon Is Now the Most-Viewed Show in the Philippines on Amazon Prime Video

“We’re always on the lookout to create entertaining content that is relevant to our diverse local audience’s taste, and it’s going to be exciting to work together with Rod and the rest of the Drag Den with Manila Luzon creators to make Season Two even more entertaining,” said David Simonsen, director of Prime Video, Southeast Asia.

Drag Den Season 2 marks Prime Video’s first time renewing a local show in Southeast Asia, which is not surprising given the show’s success on the platform after its release. Drag Den topped Amazon charts while the show was ongoing as viewers couldn’t get enough of the Drag Cartel, the roasts, and the political shade.

“We’re just grateful for all the positive reactions we’ve received so far,” shared Rod Singh, the show’s creator and director. “It shows that audiences from around the world are connecting with our show and the messages we want to convey. It’s been quite a journey for us; the history of Pinoy drag culture is full of unsung heroes, and we’ve come a long way. We’ve had clear intentions about bringing the show to where it is now. The show stood for many things, and thanks to our audience, because they, too, stood with us. And because of their support, we’ll continue the fight in Season Two. Bigger and better, definitely.”

Drag Den is produced by CS Studios, creator and director Rod Singh, and Antoinette Jadaone of Project 8 Projects. The Drag Lord herself Manila Luzon will return as host and execute producer.

Drag Den with Manila Luzon Season 2 will launch exclusively on Prime Video in the Philippines and 240 other countries and territories worldwide.
