Dolly de Leon Nominated at Satellite Awards Alongside Claire Foy, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Angela Bassett
Filipino actress Dolly de Leon has just been nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the Satellite Awards 2022, one of the most prestigious awards in the entertainment industry. De Leon is nominated for her role as Abigail in Ruben Östlund’s dark satire Triangle of Sadness, which premiered at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.
The other nominees in her category are: Jean Smart for Babylon, Angela Bassett for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Kerry Condon for Banshees Of Inisherin, Claire Foy for Women Talking, and Jamie Lee Curtis for Everything Everywhere All At Once.
Triangle of Sadness is also nominated for Best Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical, and director-writer Robert Ostlünd is nominated for Best Original Screenplay.
Presented by the International Press Academy, the Satellite Awards 2022 will take place on April 3, 2022, during Hollywood’s awards season. De Leon has also received Oscar for her stunning performance in Triangle of Sadness.
