All the New Stars Joining the Cast of Dune: Part 2

Get ready for Dune: Part 2.

The highly-anticipated sequel to Denis Villanueva’s sci-fi epic Dune has confirmed a whole round of new cast members. After capturing viewers and critics alike in 2021, Dune will return in 2023 with the majority of the original cast and a few exciting new additions. Dune ended with Paul Atreides (Timothee Chalamet) joining the Fremen and finally meeting Chani (Zendaya) outside of his dreams, and Dune: Part 2 will follow Paul as he comes into his abilities and meets new allies and foes along the way.

Here are the newest cast members of Dune: Part 2.

1| Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan

Oscar nominee Florence Pugh will play Princess Irulan, daughter of the Emperor, who will play a vital role in Paul’s rise to power—and a threat to his relationship with Chani. Irulan becomes a central figure in the Dune sequel books.

2| Austin Butler as Feyd-Rautha

Austin Butler will be playing Feyd-Rautha, the antithesis to Timothee Chalamet’s Paul Atreides. The younger nephew of Baron Harkonnen, Feyd-Rautha is as cruel and cunning as his uncle. Another important character in Paul’s hero journey, he’s expected to be a secondary villain in the sequel film.

3| Christopher Walken as Emperor Shaddam IV

The ruler of the universe, Shaddam IV is the father of Irulan and the mastermind operating behind the scenes. Threatened by House Atreides, it was Shaddam who set the pieces in motion that triggered House Harkonnen’s attack in the first film.
