Michael B. Jordan Lost a Bet, So He Has to Drop and Do Push-Ups Whenever Lupita Nyong'o Says
Somewhere between filming Black Panther, the best Marvel movie made yet, and doing press for its killer opening weekend, Michael B. Jordan and Lupita Nyong'o made a bet. We don't know what the bet was, but we do know Jordan lost it. Now, Nyong'o has the power to make him drop and give her a push-up, wherever she wants, whenever she wants.
She's wielding her power wisely. Here's Jordan going for one at a SiriusXM Town Hall last week.
Here's a second round, at the Calvin Klein show at New York Fashion Week.
And again, backstage at The View, where Jordan laughs, "I'm a sport, I'm a sport," even after Nyong'o commands him to "stay down."
Maybe Jordan bet her Black Panther wouldn't break box office records—it is. Maybe he bet her Michelle Obama wouldn't tweet her praise for the movie and its importance to young black people—she did. Whatever it was, Nyong'o has two more rounds of spontaneous push-ups to dish out. Hopefully, they'll be as proud and public as possible.
