Oscars 2018 Guests Will Receive Pepper Spray In Their $100,000 Goodie Bags

Every year, the Oscar nominees are gifted with goodie bags full of expensive (and unnecessary) items. In 2018, in the wake of the #MeToo movement and a wave of sexual harassment scandals in the film industry, the bags are going to contain pepper spray. Two different brands of spray, in fact.
The first brand of spray included is called PepperFace, a more 'glamorous' range that is designed to discreetly fit in a handbag.
A company called Sabre is also said to be including both a key-ring-sized pepper spray and a gel pepper spray, as well as body alarms and a kit to test if your drink has been spiked.
Other items in the bags have been reported to consist of a holiday, a phobia-relief session, a 'conflict-free' diamond necklace, a '24 carat gold facial,' a genetic sequencing kit, a lifetime supply of foundation, and a donation to an animal relief shelter of the person's choice.
We don't know if all of these are legit, but, all in all, each goodie bag is said to be worth $100,000.
It should be said that the bags aren't officially affiliated with the Oscars. The Academy stopped handing them out a few years back and now a third-party called Distinctive Assets gives them out.
