The New Top Gun 2 Trailer Just...Landed
A new trailer for Top Gun: Maverick has landed. Set for release 34 years after the original film, in June 2020, the highly anticipated sequel stars a returning Tom Cruise, and it seems he still has a need for speed.
The first-look trailer, released back in July, showed Captain Peter 'Maverick' Mitchell (Cruise) back in the pilot seat following a stint as a flight instructor. Now it seems he has some new friends, too.
With Maverick acting as a mentor to his late friend Goose's son Bradley 'Rooster' Bradshaw (Miles Teller), Top Gun: Maverick also welcomes back Val Kilmer's Iceman. Jennifer Connelly, Ed Harris, Manny Jacinto, Glen Powell and Jon Hamm round out the cast.
Meanwhile, Cruise has shared a new poster to go alongside the latest teaser.
Top Gun: Maverick has a release date of July 17, 2020 in the UK and June 26, 2020 in the US.
