Some of the most interesting acts in the Philippines, Taiwan, and Japan will be coming together at Apotheka in Poblacion, Makati tomorrow, November 30 for the inaugural Parallel Provisions music fest (not your typical music fest, really).

Co-presented by Jameson Whiskey, with support from Havitat Boutique Hotel, the show hopes to shine the spotlight on various genres, from surf and alternative to worldbeat, jazz funk, and pop rock. Organizers deem it as a celebration of diverse artistic expressions in Asian cities. The live gig focuses on collaboration and exploration, as well as interconnectedness. Through the platform James Connects, the program is expected to be a venue that honors the dynamism in cross-cultural exchanges.

MANILA ANIMAL

The artistic nom de guerre of contemporary artist Kiko Escora, MANILA ANIMAL is a darker departure from his paintings in a sense. His music focuses on moody electro, nu-disco, chugging EBM, post-punk electronica, and hard techno sets, operating in the space where visual and musical talent collide.
