The Ayala Museum Has Released Animal Crossing Outfit Codes Inspired by Philippine Textiles
The release of Animal Crossing: New Horizons has changed the gaming world for the better. It's all wholesome fun, really—which is what we all need right now.
A ton of players have used the game to mix tech and fashion by turning runway looks into virtual outfits for their characters. It's all being documented by photographer Kara Chung through an Instagram account called Animal Crossing Fashion Archive.
You'll find characters decked out in Dior, Bode, Jacquemus to even local brands such as Fortune W.W.D. The latest to join the craze is an unlikely one, but it's one we didn't know we really needed: The Ayala Museum. Yep, the museum has made outfit codes inspired by Philippine textiles for the game.
The highlight is the Bagobo Warrior Shirt, which is part of the museum's textile collection. "Among Bagobo men, only elite warriors, the magani, can wear this kind of tie-dyed shirt and trouser set, called tinangkulo. It is said that a darker shade of red corresponds to the number of enemies a warrior has defeated," the tweet reads.
Other pieces include the Yakan skirt, which is worn by the tribe's female members, as well as many other textiles from the Maguindanao and Bugkalot. Grab the outfit codes below:
