Well, the money will be used to expand research and technology for Dyson's beauty portfolio. In fact, there are already 20 new beauty products in the pipeline to be launched in the next four years.

Investments such as these have allowed Dyson to revolutionize haircare by developing the Supersonic hairdryer by giving Dyson's 6,000 engineers and scientists access to hundreds of laboratories. In a release, Dyson says:

"For Dyson to truly understand how all hair types behave, and continue to identify better, healthier ways to style, the team develop test rigs and employ state-of-the-art equipment. Machinery such as scanning electron microscopes, thermal cameras and airflow laser smoke machines help engineers better understand the impact of hair damage, global hair types and the effects of high-speed airflow."
