XPPen Launches 24-inch Drawing Display for Digital Artists
Technology has made great strides in not only assisting artists but also maximizing their potential. With this in mind, XPPen—a graphics tablet development company established in Japan—just launched a new series of 24-inch drawing displays, the Artist Pro 24 (Gen 2). It is designed to meet the rigorous demands of modern creatives, including photographers, animators, and video editors.
What to Know About the XPPEn Artist Pro 24 (Gen 2)
The Artist Pro 24 (Gen 2) series introduces two distinct models, each tailored to specific creative needs. The 4K model, with its impressive 3,840 x 2,160 resolution, is optimized for those engaged in high-resolution graphics and photography work. This model boasts a wide color gamut, covering 99% of the sRGB, 99% of the Adobe RGB, and 98% of the Display P3 color spaces, ensuring unparalleled color accuracy with a Delta E < 1. Such precision makes it an ideal choice for artists, photographers, architects, and graphic designers who demand the highest fidelity in color reproduction.
Meanwhile, the 165Hz model, with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440, is designed to enhance the workflow of animators and video editors. Its high refresh rate of 165Hz ensures smooth transitions and fluid motion, which is crucial for those working in animation and video production. This model also offers a wide color gamut, covering 99% of the sRGB, 99% of the Adobe RGB, and 94% of the Display P3 color spaces, coupled with the same high color accuracy as its 4K counterpart.

Both models are Calman Verified, which means they are compatible with popular color-calibration tools. The displays incorporate pen digitizers that allow artists to work directly on their art, eliminating the disconnect experienced with traditional external drawing tablets. This innovation is a game-changer for digital artists, providing a more intuitive and natural drawing experience.
XPPen said that this is an industry first. "The Artist Pro 24 (Gen 2) series is the first drawing display to earn Calman Verified status, a milestone in making professional-grade color calibration accessible to digital artists," confirmed Eric Brumm, President and CEO of Portrait Displays, in a statement.
The Artist Pro 24 (Gen 2) series is compatible with the X3 Pro Smart Chip and X3 Pro Slim styli. These styli are EMR-based, so they do not require batteries, and they offer 16,384 levels of pen pressure sensitivity, allowing for precise and nuanced control over artistic creations. The pen digitizer's resolution of 5,080 LPI and pen tracking accuracy of +/- 0.4 mm ensure that every stroke is captured with utmost precision.
Measuring 638 x 408 x 44 mm and weighing 7.3 kg, these displays are designed to be versatile and compatible with a range of operating systems, including Apple, Android, Chrome, Linux, and Windows. Connectivity options such as USB-C, DisplayPort, and HDMI make them adaptable to various setups, ensuring that artists can seamlessly integrate them into their existing workflows.
The Artist Pro 24 (Gen 2) series is available for purchase directly through the XPPen website with free shipping within Manila. Artist Pro 19 Gen2-4K Display is priced at P57,999 (on sale); while the Artist Pro 24 Gen2 165HZ 2.5K Display is at P43,999 (on sale).
