Which Law Schools Have Produced the Most Philippine Bar Topnotchers?

Sean James Borja, a graduate of Ateneo de Manila University, topped the 2018 Philippine Bar Examinations, the Supreme Court announced Friday, May 3, breaking the two-year dominance of regional schools in the bar examinations.
Graduates of schools based in provinces have topped the bar two years running: Marck John Simondo from University of St. La Salle in 2017 and Karen Mae Calam from the University of San Carlos in 2016.
Borja took the top spot this year with a score of 89.306 percent, enough for him to bring back the glory to his alma mater. The last time a graduate from Ateneo topped the Philippine Bar Exams was in 2012.
The 2018 Philippine Bar Examinations results only affirm the historical performance of the country’s top three law schools. As seen in the infographic on this page, the University of the Philippines, Ateneo and San Beda College have produced the most number of Philippine Bar topnotchers since 1913.
