Tokyo Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz finally breaks through in the World Weightlifting Championship stage as she takes home three gold medals.

Suffice to say, the Filipino weightlifting star dominated the women’s 55-kilogram division on her way to the first gold medals in her career. She won in the snatch, clean and jerk, ant total competitions. Diaz lifted 93kg in the snatch category before tallying 114 kg in the clean and jerk competition. She would end up lifting a total of 207kg to edge out t Colombia's Rosalba Morales and Mexico's Ana Gabriela Lopez

Held in Bogota, Colombia, this year's World Weightlifting Championships is part of the Diaz's bid for the 2024 Paris Olympics. It could possibly be the fifth in her career.

In the past, the Filipino Olympian had settled for bronze finishes, placing third in 2015, 2017, and 2019.
