Just a few days after President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. appointed lawyer Lorenzo “Larry” G. Gadon as Presidential Adviser for Poverty Alleviation, the Supreme Court (SC) unanimously voted to disbar him for his tirades against journalist Raissa Robles.

“By a unanimous vote of 15-0, the Supreme Court En Banc resolved to disbar Atty. Lorenzo ‘Larry’ Gadon for his viral clip where he repeatedly cursed and uttered profane remarks against journalist Raissa Robles,” said the Supreme Court Public Information Office.

Gadon was said to have violated Canon II on Propriety, of the Code of Professional Responsibility and Accountability. Here, the code states the lawyer must always “act with propriety and maintain the appearance of propriety in personal and professional dealings, observe honesty, respect and courtesy, and uphold the dignity of the legal profession consistent with the highest standards of ethical behavior.”

In the said clip that was presented in court where Gadon blasted Robles, he was said to have consisted “indisputably scandalous that it discredits the legal profession.”

The SC added: “The privilege to practice law is bestowed only upon individuals who are competent intellectually, academically and, equally important, morally. There is no room in this noble profession for misogyny and sexism. The Court will never tolerate abuse, in whatever form, especially when perpetrated by an officer of the court."

Scandalous and profane language has been Gadon's trademark for a while now, really. With his disbarment, we can't help but look back at some of the worst quotes.

Here are some of the most atrocious things the controversial attorney has said in the past.

A long list. So here are a few.

In April 2018, he cursed at supporters of Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno at the Supreme Court summer courthouse in Baguio, the Gadon signature phrase was born:

"Mga bobo... Ikaw bobo, p*tang ina mo ka, king ina mo ka."

At the University of San Carlos after a student called him a liar

"I am not lying, you are just ignorant. Don’t argue with me. Argue with the organizers. Bobo e," and "Don’t waste my time. I am more important than you."

During the campaign trail from 2018 to 2019, when asked who was bobo in the Senate:

"Daming bobo sa senado... Unang-una si Trillanes. Tapos si Pangilinan. Si Hontiveros. You can quote me on that."

When Senatorial candidates were invited on GMA, Gadon lashed out at surveys:

"'Yung mga surveys naman kasi, halata naman na 'yan ay propaganda at mind-conditioning, at prelude to cheating.

"We all know that Pulse Asia and SWS ay propagandists from the Cory government."

On another debate platform, this time with ABS-CBN, he was asked if there had been human rights violations during Martial Law:

"Mas marami ang human rights violations noong panahon ni Cory Aquino."

On the need for the declaration of Martial Law during the first Marcos regime:

"'Yung maraming namatay noong Martial Law ay mga National People's Army (NPA)."

The misinformation he spread about face masks:

"In my case, the mask is only for a show because stores will not allow entry if you don't have masks. If mask is really effective, how come there are more than 100,000 afflicted with COVID? And more than 2,000 dead victims?"

But hey, even a broken clock is right twice a day, right? Gadon did make sense from time to time. Just look at some of these quotes during some interviews with some TV stations.

On bobo, the political concept:

On the presidential candidates' peculiar standards:

"Magpapatakbo ka ng buong bansa tapos ang requirements mo lang ay read and write?"

Gadon has six more administrative cases at the Office of the Bar Confidant and four cases at the Commission on Bar Discipline of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines. While Gadon has been disbarred, he still has pending cases for cyber libel and safe spaces.
