Ateneo Partners with Ty Family's Federal Land for New Campus in Cavite

A new Ateneo campus is soon to rise in Riverpark, a township development by Federal Land, Inc. in General Trias, Cavite, following the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between Ateneo de Manila University and GT Capital Holdings, Inc. The latter is a Philippine holding company founded by family patriarch George Ty, with Federal Land as one of its subsidiaries, among other business interests in auto dealership, banking, insurance, and power.

Representing their respective parties are GT Capital President Carmelo Maria Luza and Vice Chairman Alfred V. Ty, and Ateneo de Manila University President Fr. Roberto C. Yap, S.J., during the signing ceremony held on October 24 at the GT Tower International Penthouse in Makati City. Also present were Ateneo de Manila University Board of Trustees Chairperson Bernadine T. Siy, Federal Land Chairman and FNG President William Thomas Mirasol, FNG Vice Chairman Yusuke Hirano, and Federal Land President Jose Mari H. Banzon.

"The new Ateneo campus in Riverpark allows us to extend our mission and provide more families in Cavite and nearby provinces with access to quality education rooted in our Jesuit tradition. This expansion reaffirms Ateneo's enduring commitment to be a force for good—forming persons who are not only competent but also compassionate, ready to lead and serve in a rapidly changing world," said Fr. Yap about the 15-hectare property within Riverpark in a statement.

"Ateneo's presence in Riverpark not only strengthens the educational landscape of Cavite but also uplifts the lives of the communities we serve. Our investment in this campus reflects our long-term commitment to creating sustainable value for generations of Filipinos, anchored on the values of excellence and service," said Bautista.

Riverpark is a 600-hectare township developed with smart living technology and infused with Japanese innovation. It is expected to house schools, hospitals, and offices as well as open spaces, such as the Riverpark Trails and a 16-hectare central park, for the community it will serve.
