Want to Drive for Grab? There's a Signing Bonus Worth Up to P10,000 in It For You

In a bid to entice more drivers to join its platform, Grab Philippines is offering up to P10,000 as signing bonus and legal assistance for those who will successfully earn a transport network vehicle license. 

Grab made the announcement in a news release following the announcement of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board’s (LTFRB) that it will open 4,433 new TNVS slots this month.

The company said it would offer up to P10,000 worth of driver bonuses and legal assistance for applicants with six-seater vehicles, and up to P6,000 for those with four-seater vehicles. The bonus scheme applies exclusively to TNVS licenses registered through Grab.

Grab lost a significant number of its driver-partners during the pandemic due to loaned cars being repossessed or driver-partners choosing to do other jobs or finding opportunities elsewhere.

In 2021, the company urged the LTFRB to onboard new driver-partners to replenish the supply lost during the height of the pandemic. It said it is optimistic its signing bonus initiative will help address the shortage of driver-partners and meet the growing demand for more GrabCar services out on the roads.

“We remain firm in our commitment to making transportation safe, reliable, and more accessible for more passengers,” Grab Philippines Senior Director for Strategy and Operations Ronald Roda shares. “We understand the vital role of efficient mobility in the daily lives of the commuting public, and we are fully committed to providing a much better ride-hailing experience to our passengers as we welcome more driver-partners onto the platform.”

Roda added that it is looking forward to the LTFRB adding more TNVS slots in the months ahead.
