It seems that Saturday's drizzly weather had travelled across the pond to NYC, as the Tony Awards started with a rain-proof red carpet. Still, that didn't dampen sprits. A mix of A-list actors and theatre veterans walked into the awards show 78th ceremony smiling.
And there was lots to grin at. The original cast of Broadway spectacular Hamilton reunited to celebrate 10 years since the show opened, performing a medley of the musical's most popular songs. Cynthia Erivo sung Frank Sinatra's 'My Way' to signal times-up for winner's acceptance speeches. And to top it off, there was a plethora of black-tie to be sartorially inspired by.
Hollywood heavy-hitters like George Clooney, Keanu Reeves and Bryan Cranston all sported a tux and bow-tie, fuelling the argument of dressing up for the theatre. Plenty of guests went suit and tie, and then some went OTT with funkier ensembles—think: Bob Odenkirk in a glitzy blue two-piece. Find our favourite outfits from the night below.
