Balenciaga Just Debuted a Massive New Adidas Collab

Nothing surprises us anymore when it comes to collaborations. Balenciaga has been "hacked" by Gucci, Gucci has released Adidas logo-laden pieces, and Adidas has even partnered with Prada.

At this point, we fully expected a Balenciaga and Adidas collab to come at some point. And, that's exactly what we saw during the fashion house's spring 2023 at the New York Stock Exchange building. (Full disclosure: photos of an Adidas x Balenciaga Triple S sneaker did leak back in March.)

Colliding Balenciaga's inimitable aesthetic vision with the iconic fervor of the adidas archive, the partnership will see the fashion house subvert and reinterpret the signature DNA of the Three Stripes.

Inspired by the late 90s and early 2000s, the inaugural collection is set to play host to an array of men’s and women’s apparel, accessories and footwear.

From what we saw on the runway, the collab is the Adidas of Balenciaga creative director Demna's childhood. Essentially, tons of loose-fitting, oversized pieces in vibrant colors that all look like they came straight out of Missy Elliot's Noughties closet.

The Balenciaga x Adidas collab collection has no release date yet, and pricing information is not available yet—but we'll let you know when we do. Stay tuned.
