Fashion-forward men are living in exciting times. Traditionally, formal menswear was pretty standardized—think classic suits, tuxedos, and dress shirts sticking to tried-and-true cuts, colors (mostly black, navy, grey), and minimal detailing. It was all about timelessness and uniformity, which could definitely feel a bit boring or restrictive.

But nowadays, there’s way more variety and creativity in formal menswear. Designers and brands are experimenting with things like different fabrics, patterns, cuts, and colors, plus details like unique lapels, embroidery, unconventional shoes, and accessories. There’s also a bigger push for personal style and individuality within formalwear, so it’s not just about fitting in but standing out in a polished way.

We saw this trend in full force at the GMA Gala 2025, a fantastic event for fashion fans and observers alike. Stars, both young and seasoned, were noticeably more adventurous with their style choices. Big thanks to the designers and brands for offering such exciting options.
