The Best-Dressed Men at Venice Film Festival 2024
Summer’s last bank holiday is behind us, and now we're dreading the end of a season that, temperature-wise, never really began in the first place. Thankfully, a sun-drenched distraction from that ‘back to school’ energy has arrived in the form of the Venice Film Festival.
It's one of the most stylish occasions on the celebrity calendar, a chance for louche summer threads and understated tailoring to reign supreme. While last year’s hurrah was clouded by the SAG-AFTRA strikes – meaning only some A-list celebrities could attend if agreed with the union – this year is expected to have a much bigger turnout.
Tim Burton’s sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice kicks off the event, followed by Nicole Kidman’s Babygirl, George Clooney and Brad Pitt in Wolfs and Joker: Folie à Deux, starring the winner of a Golden Lion for the first film in the franchise, Joaquin Phoenix. Elsewhere, expectations are high for writer-director Luca Guadagnino's Queer, starring Daniel Craig and Drew Starkey.
And so, we can expect the stars to sail through the canals in some attention-grabbing ‘fits.Â
