Louis Vuitton's S/S 26 Collection Celebrates Indian Sartorialism, Modernity
The Louis Vuitton Spring-Summer 2026 Collection by Pharrell Williams is an ode to Indian tradition and modernity through contemporary wardrobe choices featuring cloths, cuts, and colors intertwined with India.
A cultural, music and fashion visionary, who took the reins of the brandās Menās Creative department two years ago, sought to evoke the āunique sartorial signatures for a contemporary wardrobeā from Paris to India.
At the June 24 Louis Vuitton Paris showcase, there was a life-sized Snakes and Ladders set piece via the brandās collaboration with architecture firm Studio Mumbai.Ā The focus of the backdrop was Centre Pompidou,Ā a Parisian cultural hubĀ that wasĀ recently closed to undergo a five-year renovation.

A brainchild of Studio Mumbai architect Bijoy Jain, the set was built in wood with hand-paintings transforming the attendees and cast into players in a giant game of Snakes and Ladders.
Some notable attendees included j-hope from BTS, actor Bradley Cooper, director Spike Lee, K-Pop star Jackson Wang, BeyoncƩ Knowles-Carter and Jay-Z, among other A-listers.
Another key section of the collection is the Sun-Drenched Dandy garments, fine wools, and silks in a sun-faded texture, and accessories adorned with semi-tan vegetable leather luggage. LV also featured their patina shoes made to look aged, with Jazz lace-up or derby loafer variants in leather, suede ostrich colored in pastel.
Williams also pays tribute to the beloved 2007 Wes Anderson film The Darjeeling Limited as the show featured luggage adorned with tapestries of cross-continental flora and fauna and knitwear.
The music pioneer also produced and composed the showās soundtrack with works that were collaborations with legendary Indian composers A.R. Rahman and other tracks featuring Doechii and Tyler, the Creator.

How The Music Juggernaut Took The Reins of Louis Vuitton Creative
The iconic French fashion brand announced in 2023 that music and fashion icon Williams would be taking over the menās fashion creative department following the death of the late great legendary designer Virgil Abloh.
Louis Vuitton described him as a visionary āwhose creative universes expand from music to art, and to fashionā and a cultural global icon over the past two decades.
