We Didn't Know We Needed Pokemon Dress Shirts Until We Saw Them

If Pokemon-themed metal straws, Pokemonized tamagotchis, and a Pokemon version of Deadpool aren’t enough for you, how do dress shirts with Pokemon designs sound?

The Pokemon Company has teamed up with Original Stitch, a Japanese menswear brand, for a series of Pokemon-themed dress shirts. From Bulbasaur to Mew, Original Stitch will be making patterned designs of each of the 151 Pokemon from the first generation. (Yes, not just Pikachu!)
And no, they’re not just polo shirts with official Pokemon art lazily printed on them. They’re unique, low-key patterns that keep you looking professional while announcing to the world you never got over your Pokemon obsession.
You’ll also be able to customize how the pattern shows up on your shirt. It can be as prominent as this Charmander design.

Or you can keep it on the collar and/or cuffs for a subtler edge, like this Bulbasaur shirt. You can even follow the name—Pocket Monsters—and put the pattern on your shirt pocket.

You can also have more than one Pokemon pattern on your shirt. (After all, the best trainers have a full team of six.) This one features patterns of both Magikarp and its evolution, Gyarados.

Each shirt costs 10,000 yen (about P4,800) excluding tax and shipping, and Original Stitch will begin selling them by February. If you can’t wait that long, the company will be offering 20 Pokemon designs at an advanced sale happening from January 26 to 28. (You might need to use a forwarding service for that.)
So if you want to add some childhood nostalgia into your professional wardrobe, or if you're looking for the perfect gift for your Pokemon-obsessed colleague, catch these Pokemon shirts before they run away.
(Just don’t give your colleague this Slowpoke design. It might send the wrong message.)
