Prada Focuses on Sustainability For the New Re-Nylon 2024 Campaign
Prada presents the new Re-Nylon campaign featuring Benedict Cumberbatch and Emma Watson, immortalized by the lens of Willy Vanderperre. Circularity and sustainability are at the center, in fact, starting from July 2023 one percent of the proceeds from the Prada Re-Nylon collection will support Sea Beyond, the educational program to raise awareness of ocean pollution and conservation which was launched in 2019 by Prada Group and the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO.
The shots of the Prada Re-Nylon 2024 campaign see Benedict Cumberbatch and Emma Watson framed by an ocean background while wearing the garments from the collection. The message, clear and concise, is written with the typical font of the fashion house "support the education for ocean conservation," it is read. The images speak for themselves for immediate awareness for anyone who looks at them.
Prada Re-Nylon was born in 2019 to put sustainability at the basis of its collections, marking a turning point for the maison which converted the entire production of virgin nylon into regenerated nylon. This material comes from the recycling and purification of plastic collected in the ocean (such as fishing nets) and in landfills, as well as textile waste from all over the world. Going through complex depolymerization and repolymerization procedures, this yarn is the result of a circular approach.
