Ideally, any visit to a skincare clinic should start with a detailed and comprehensive consultation with a dermatologist. I visited Remedy Skin Solutions in Vertis North, Quezon City. After confirming my appointment with the receptionist, I was quickly ushered into a small room that doubled as a studio. Where my face was photographed using professional lighting and equipment before I was escorted back to the waiting area. Then, I was led to another small room where I had my consultation with the dermatologist.

What was different about this specific consultation was that it was very detailed and thorough. Dr. Den took the time to ask about my background and medical history and specific issues about my skin. With an apprentice in the background taking notes, she also examined the skin on my face and made recommendations based on her findings. All in all we chatted for nearly 45 minutes, which was much longer than the consultations I’ve had with other dermatologists.
Afterwards, it was time for the treatments. We started with a Hollywood Laser Facial, which I was told is a treatment that uses three different types of lasers that improves texture, tone, and appearance. Dr. Den also said it’s designed to treat acne and signs of aging, which are two of my own personal concerns.
The treatment itself is relatively painless, with just slightly disorienting prickly sensations on the face. It took about 30 minutes and then I moved to the next treatment.

The Acne Cleanse is, as the name suggests, recommended for those with acne issues. According to the technician, the treatment combines microcurrent technology and salicylic acid for a deep clean of the pores. This took about 20 minutes.
Hollywood Laser Facial Treatment
Depending on the severity of the skin issues, clients might be requested to come back to undergo several sessions of the treatments and complement it with products from the clinic designed specifically to address each patient’s skin concerns. The idea is to respond and zero in on each person’s distinct problem to ultimately achieve flawless, healthy-looking skin, which is something every person—man, woman or everyone in between—deserves.
