When you say the word "Adidas," do you pronounce it "Ah-DEE-das"? Well, I hate to tell you this, but nope, that's not it. Sorry, buddy.

Adidas is actually pronounced "Ah-dih-dahh," according to a new video from the Today show. I know — your whole world has been shattered. In the video, several people try their hand at saying other commonly mispronounced brand names, including Zara, L'Occitane and Ouidad. Spoiler alert: Nobody really knows how to say these words.

Zara is supposed to have a rolled "r" (it almost sounds like a "d"). And the first part of Estée Lauder is pronounced "Est-ehh." Vidal Sassoon is pronounced "Vee-dahl Sas-sson." The biggest surprise of them all, however, is definitely the Adidas revelation.

How well do you know your brand names? Find out by watching the full video.
